Ten Thousand march at Battery Park against Trump Admin’s Muslim Ban

An estimated ten thousand New Yorkers gathered within view of the Statue of Liberty at Battery Park in lower Manhattan on Sunday for a second day of protests against the Trump Administration’s executive order banning refugees and Muslims from seven countries.

“What we are talking about is life and death and what the beautiful lady in the harbor stands for,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said.

“This executive order is a mark of shame on our country,” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said.

The rally was organized by the New York Immigrant Coalition and Make the Road New York.
